What is wrong with Newt?

I recently heard that Newt Gingrich has fallen prey to the new religion of Global Warming and was saying he hopes Obama is successful. I cannot understand his reasoning for these things. The man is smarter than that. Has he become a coward? Where is the passion for the truth? I used to think he was a brave man, I wonder now.
