Rob John is a right wing nut job

Dear Anonymous,

I sincerely thank you for the opportunity to express myself.

I would like to point out that you are attacking me, not my ideals and principles. Ever hear of the term ad hominem?

Response to your first paragraph:
I bring to the table common sense, real honesty, real backbone, real principles and values and real conservatism. How do you define a right wing nut job? There is no right-wing or left-wing, right and left is a red-herring that excludes a discussion of Liberty! There is only Liberty and degrees of slavery. Yes I was running as a Independent, then on the advice of others decided to run as a Independent Republican. I may just stay Independent considering the ransom that the Republican party requires to join. You assume I could not get the signatures, but I have gotten the signature of over 95% of those I have asked. I guess they are right-wing nut jobs too. Yes there is a time factor. I work a good 50-60 hours a week, yes I have been happily married for 23 years, yes I have 3 sons, yes my time is limited and yes my conviction is real. For your information Walmart does not allow political activities on it's property, nor do most other retail outlets. So I go door to door at night and on weekends in Dale County, Autagua, Elmore, and Houston County plus a few others. I participate in the 912 groups, the Campaign for Liberty Groups and any others I can find. I have been on the radio once so far, I given one speech so far, I'm invited to give another on 9-12. I have even been to a Selma meeting to share ideas and strategies even though Selma is outside district 2. I am on the net constantly countering mis-truths and trying to inspire others that they are not powerless. This a war of ideas and principles, not parties. What have you done to make a difference? I'm sorry but the Democrats don't offer excuses, the Republican's do. The Republicans are the ones who compromise on principle. The Democrats just press on inch by inch, decade after decade. This is what the Silent Majority is angry about.

Response to your second paragraph:
Scorched earth, I have not attacked anyone. I have attacked their actions and statements. I suppose expressing my beliefs and disagreements in a respectful manner (freedom of speech) is un-American. Yes, I would be very different from a typical politician. I deplore politicians. I would be a representative; one that understands what the principle of Federalism implies; one that has actually read the Constitution, the Federalist Papers and one that understands what a Representative really is. Gee which stances are idiotic? I would be proud to be that kind of laughing stock. I would not be cowarded by what the press says about me. I will do the right thing, the Constitutional thing. I'm not beautiful, rich or powerful, but I am real. I am not experienced at wasting other people's money. I am not experienced at lying. I offer my true convictions, real straight talk, and integrity, not words. What do you offer your fellow man? I never dreamed of being a politician; but my beliefs compelled me to do what I can. I served and sacrificed for our country for 20 years in the Air Force and gave it everything I had, with honor and dedication. I will do it again if given the honor.

Response to your third paragraph:
Running Against Congress, hmmm are you for anything Congress is doing? I couldn't agree more about needing a one man army, one man one vote, that's all I can offer and guarantee. But a lot of one man/woman armies could and will accomplish a lot. We are not powerless unless we choose to be. I can guarantee Rob John will not vote for un-Constitutional bills and spending which is probably about 75% of what they do. We have a Congress under a Federal system, not a National system of government and there is good reason for it. Just what do you want accomplished? Do you want more compromising?

Response to your fourth paragraph:
You are free to choose your representatives, for now.

Response to your fifth paragraph:
Your math is very flawed. Also my current voting record shows a 81% disagreement with the votes of the 111th Congress and a 54% disagreement rate with the vote of Bobby Bright and a 59% agreement rate with Sen. Jeff Sessions. If your math was correct, you'd see that I have nothing in common with Pelosi, Reid, and Obama. Good grief, that is a stupid statement. You must have really read my site

Again I want to thank you sincerely for the opportunity to respond to your concerns and comments. You can always reach me at

Best wishes,

Rob John

There is a new comment on the post "2010 Big List".

Author: True Conservative
Rob, what do you bring to the table besides constant criticism of everyone else? You are a right wing nut job. You were going to run as an independent, but you knew you would not be able to find less than 6,000 people in a little less than a year to sign a petition saying they support you being on the ballot. Sure you can say you did not have the time to do it, but you did have time. You could have stood outside a Wal-Mart, grocery store, or some other retail store in different parts of the district on a few Saturdays and made substantial headway. You could have called your friends and gotten them to help. Instead all you have done is offer the same thing as the Democrats, EXCUSES.

If you think this scorched earth policy of attacking anyone and everyone you oppose is the way to get things done you are sadly mistaken. If hell freezes over and you are elected, you would be the laughing stock of Washington D.C. and the entire nation. Your lone wolf mindset would make you a regular on such "top notch" news broadcasts as The Daily Show and The Colbert Report. You would be a national celebrity and not because of what you are doing right, but because of the idiotic stance you take.

Running Against Congress? That is exactly what we need, someone who despises the body and will try to be the 1 man army to clean it up. I want a representative that will represent me and that will accomplish things on Capitol Hill. Not someone that will spend their time being Don Quixote chasing windmills.

I would prefer no member of Congress from this district as to having you represent me. Please stop before you embarrass yourself or your family any more.

On your site you note that you disagree with Bobby Bright 55% of the time, but I am hearing statistics that Bobby Bright agrees with his party 75% of the time. Sounds like you might be agreeing with those Liberal Democrats like Nancy Pelosi, Harry Reid, and Barrack Hussein Obama! Just wanted to point that out for you.
